Ah, childhood! It’s sweet, bright and colourful as a candy. How would this rainbow mix look in the adult life? Will it be playful? Nostalgic? Creative?

The “Eye Candy” shoot was inspired by the joyous colours of a lollipop with a sprinkle of childhood. This was an interesting shoot for me in terms of the colour scheme (rich and intense) and the use of a flash as the sun refused to make an appearance that day. While I love the naturally lit images the most, there are times when an artificial light becomes a necessity. In this instance, it helped to bring out the model and created a poster feel to the photos.

Lesson learned: experiment and paint yourself a whole lot of colourful days!
