
Feel Good Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie
Lately I’ve been revamping my lifestyle and incorporating small healthy changes on a daily basis. Paired with fitness, it’s pretty amazing to see how fast the body responds and appreciates nutritious wholesome food. And I’d love to share my recipe for a post-workout banana peanut butter smoothie with you.
INGREDIENTS (250 ml):
1/2 – 1 banana
1/2 a cup of unsweetened almond or coconut milk
1 tbsp of organic peanut butter
Options to spice up your smoothie:
1 tsp New Earth Organics Liver Life Five Mushroom Blend
Unsweetened cocoa powder to taste
Whole food protein powder (follow package instructions)
Blend all the ingredients together and drink to your health 🙂
This drink is good with or without the listed options. I’ve recently came across the Liver Life Five Mushroom Blend at Lotus Herbal in Kingsland Farmers Market, and that’s the only thing I’ve been adding to the basic smoothie in the past few weeks. Basically, as the name suggests, it’s a blend of five mushrooms (organic corioulus, reishi, shiitake, mesima, podia cocos) that helps to detox your liver. I was recommended by both Betty and Rose to use only one teaspoon per day unless I have real issues with the liver. Another tip from them – mix it with vitamin C for a better absorption 😉
